Dogs for Adoption
Bella
Her story is sadly very common. Bought as a puppy by people who hadn’t thought it through and who didn’t have time for her, she spent the first year of her life spending 23 out of 24 hours shut in a crate. She was then rehomed, but didn’t fare much better as understandably she hadn’t a clue how to behave so was very boisterous and was put into a sectioned off area of a room.
Bella then struck gold with another home with someone who understood that she needed time and training.
Sadly fate then stepped in again and her new person faced a no-fault eviction and could find nowhere that she could move to and take Bella with her.
Bella has now been with this person’s mum for 7 months but due to work commitments she is unable to keep her permanently.
Bella is a clever girl who has learnt so much. She is keen to learn and now calm in the home. She is a very friendly girl who loves people. She used to be scared of everything outside the home but has now learnt that cars etc are fine. She still barks at other dogs but this is more of an anxious, I don’t know how to cope/what to do thing, as with every dog she has been introduced to she has been fine with. This will just need someone calm and patient to carry on working with her and in the right hands I have no doubt she will overcome this final insecurity.
Bella will make someone a fantastic companion. She can be left for a few hours and travels well in the car.
She needs a very calm, chilled home, a secure garden and people who will love her and understand her background and that everything can sometimes be a bit overwhelming.
She now needs some permanency. She has had far too many moves in her life.
